Parsippany Man Allegedly Pushed Washington Twp. Officer

A Parsippany man became disorderly with police Friday morning at the when he was told there was a warrant out for his arrest from Parsippany, Lt. Doug Compton said.

Robert Miller, 49, was stopped by officer Micheal Hade for using a cell phone while driving and having a cracked windshield, Compton said.

Miller then pulled into the strip mall and, when told about the warrant for his arrest, allegedly became disorderly with Hade and caused a scene in the parking lot. Miller then pushed Hade away as the officer tried placing him in custody, Compton said.

Miller was then apprehended and taken into custody, Compton said. He was later released by the Parsippany Municipal Court on the warrant and given a new court date.

Miller was charged with disorderly conduct and was issued a motor vehicle summons for driving while suspended, use of a cell phone while driving, and having a cracked windshield.
