Parsippany Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Parsippany Police report the arrest of a local man early Wednesday for an outstanding warrant out of Wayne Township.

While on patrol at about 1:50 a.m., Officers Michael Sprung and Ronald Carrozzino saw a white Mercedes parked behind the Green Hill Shopping Center on Parsippany Road, according to the police report. The vehicle was reported unoccupied, but the car was running, police said, idling near the rear door of a closed business.

Police said that as the officers investigated the Mercedes, a 21-year-old man identified as Daryl Rinaldi of Parsippany exited from the rear door of one of the shopping center businesses. Officer Sprung recognized Rinaldi, authorities reported, and thus knew that the man had active outstanding arrest warrants.

The officers reportedly verified Sprung's recollection, learning that Rinaldi did have an outstanding warrant for a traffic-related offense issued by the Township of Wayne Municipal Court. Rinaldi was arrested and, after posting $474 bail, was released.
