Parsippany Police Report Tuesday's Road Closures
Some locations are new to the list; other previous additions are now open for use.
The Parsippany Police Department report that a number of area streets continue to be shut down. The closings remain in place due to areas still being affected by flooding and other storm-related damage. Anyone experiencing difficulties on the road is encouraged to call law enforcement at the non-emergency number: 973-263-4300.
- Rt. 287 North Closed on Parsippany Rd.
- Exit 47 on Rt. 80 Closed
- 80 West Exit to 287 North and Smith Rd. Closed
- Entire length of New Rd. including intersection at Old Bloomfield
- Rt. 46 East at South Beverwyck Rd.
- Rt. 46 West Closed at New Rd.
- Vail Rd. Closed at Edwards Rd. (Edwards Rd. still Accessible)
- Lakeshore Dr. at Carlson
- Traffic signal out at Rt. 53 at entrance to Rt. 10 West
Lower Lake Hiawatha Closures
- Lakeshore Dr. at Mohawk
- Hiawatha Blvd. at Mohawk
- Minnehaha Blvd. at Mohican
- Sandalwood at Rockaway
Police note that all roads between the above intersections and the Rockaway River are flooded and impassable.
