Cops: Parsippany Man Stole Woman's Purse

James Ross, 22, was arrested within the township and charged with second-degree robbery by Det. Edward Conklin on April 24.
Ross is being held at the Morris County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail with no 10 percent option.

The incident took place near Iroquois Avenue and North Beverwyck Road in the afternoon on March 6.
A woman that day reportedly told Officer Michael Ruggier that she was walking through the parking lot at the intersection when a man wearing a black hoodie approached her from behind and grabbed her pocketbook. He then allegedly pushed her to the ground while pulling the purse away from her.

The estimated value of the pocketbook and its contents was about $150, according to police.
The purse owner sustained a minor injury during the event and was treated at the scene by Par-Troy EMS after sustaining a minor injury, police said.
