Police Arrest Two Men for Driving Under the Influence in Separate

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

fParsippany police report two recent cases of suspected driving under the influence in the township.

On May 24 at 9 p.m., Officers Pete Kolln and Robert Smolen responded to a reported vehicle collision at the intersection of Allentown and Parsippany roads. They noted that one of the involved vehicles had left the scene.

During a brief investigation, police were able to retrieve the license plate number of the errant vehicle. Officer Kolln went to the residence connected with the plate and found a Parsippany resident exiting the car.

According to police spokesperson Officer Earl Kinsey, the Parsippany man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

In another incident, police officers responded to the area near 1470 Route 46 West on May 26 at 10:24 p.m. to investigate a report of an apparently intoxicated man driving a motorcycle without wearing a helmet.

Upon arriving, Officer Kinsey reports, they saw a man seated on a motorcycle who appeared to be attempting maintenance on the bike.

The officers questioned the man, Patrick M. Pesoli, 26, of Forest City, Pa., and then transported him to Parsippany Police headquarters after he refused to undergo sobriety testing.

Pesoli was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusing to submit to chemical testing. He was released pending a court appearance.
