Police Seek Information on Construction Equipment Heist

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Parsippany Police Department reports two construction equipment trailers were stolen from the parking lot of the Sheraton Tara Hotel between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on June 10. The tools and equipment stolen, police said, are valued at approximately $18,000. PPD asks anyone with information to call the department at (973) 263-4300.

In another case, an allegedly homeless woman faces a shoplifting charge after an incident at Emiliani's at 752 Route 46, according to Parsippany police. On June 12, officers were called to the store where a woman was reported to have been stealing beauty supplies. When police arrived, Christine Stefanelli, 40, was leaving the store. An Emiliano's employee pointed her out to police. Stefanelli was arrested and charged with shoplifting $943.26 in merchandise. Police say the suspect is being held in Morris County Jail in lieu of $7,500         bail.
