Police: Boy Goes Missing; Babysitter Doesn't Notice

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Parsippany woman faces a charge of child neglect in connection with a 5-year-old boy found wandering alone June 12, according to police. Ptlm. Earl Kinsey said officers were called to investigate when a young boy was spotted walking near the Baldwin Road Apartments. Upon finding the child, police report the youngster told Officer Steven Miller his birthdate and name but said he did not know his address. Police found out that the boy was supposed to be in the care of Olivia Prado-Rodriguez, 30, who reportedly discovered that the child was missing only when police phoned her. Police said Prado-Rodriguez is free on bail pending a court date and that the boy is back in the care of his parents.
