Police: $10K Stolen From Knoll West Golf Club

Detectives are investigating the reported incident.

The was broken into Sunday evening and $10,000 in cash was stolen from a filing cabinet, Parsippany Police said Tuesday.

Officers Ross Cooper and Robert Smolen responded to a burglary report at the golf club Sunday shortly before 7 p.m., police said.

The officers learned that between 3a.m. and 5:15 p.m., a locked filing cabinet was broken into cash was stolen.

Ptlm. Earl Kinsey said authorities believe the office's doors were pried open to gain entry and then the cabinet was also pried open.

Police said that beyond the money, nothing else was reported stolen.
Det. Darren Theobold is heading the investigation, which continues, according to police.

Knoll Club management could not be immediately reached for comment.
