Police: Hotel Parking Lots Hit by Burglars

The police department asks for the public to offer any info they have on the incidents.

Parsippany Police are investigating reports of vehicle burglaries in the parking lots of three Route 46-corridor hotels, say officials. Police were called to the , the and the after reports of criminal activity in their parking areas last Friday.

According to the police report, three vehicles in the Embassy Suites lot were found with damaged door locks. A suspect or suspects was able to gain entry into one of the vehicles and its glove compartment, police said, and approximately $2 in change was reported stolen. One vehicle in the Courtyard Marriott's parking lot also had its driver’s door lock damaged, as did another in the Days Inn lot, police said.

Police note that four of the five vehicles involved were Nissan/Infiniti products.

Authorities believe the crimes occurred between midnight and 8:45 a.m. Friday.
