Parsippany Woman ID'd As Pedestrian Killed on 46

Parsippany Police say so far no charges have been filed in the incident.

The Parsippany Police Department has released the identity of the Thursday night.

Parsippany resident Leslie V. Lynde, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a car driven by Jonathan Staunch, of Bayonne, 34. The accident took place near the Burger King and the intersection of Baldwin Road and led to a temporary road closing.

Police spokesperson Sgt. Yvonne Christiano reported that Lynde was walking from the east to west side of Route 46 when she was hit by a 2008 Nissan shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday.

Parsippany Police Officer Steven Miller and the Morris County Prosecutor's Office are still investigating the matter.

According to police, no charges have been filed at this time.
