Police Investigate Two Stabbings in Lake Hiawatha

Law enforcement seeks the public's help in finding out what led to an incident that sent two Parsippany men to the hospital.

Two men in the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany were hospitalized after apparently being stabbed this weekend, said police. An "active and evolving" investigation into the incident is underway.

According to Ptlm. Earl Kinsey, officers responded to 9-1-1 calls saying a man was lying along the side of North Beverwyck Road.
Upon their arrival at the scene, police found a 22-year-old Parsippany man lying in the middle of the road bleeding from what appeared to be multiple stab wounds to his abdomen.

The victim told Officer David Roman that there was another stabbing victim located inside of an Oneida Avenue residence. Officers responded to the home on Oneida to find another Parsippany man, 25, lying in a bedroom. He was also bleeding from multiple stab wounds to his torso.

Both men were taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital by the Rockaway Neck First Aid Squad for treatment. The two victims were listed in critical condition upon their arrival, police said.
Police have not yet released the victims' names, but Ptlm. Kinsey said both men are out of intensive care and improving.
