Police Investigating Accident on Route 46

Crash occurred at the intersection of Route 46 and New Road early Sunday afternoon.

The Parsippany Police Department is investigating an early afternoon accident Sunday that left one vehicle with significant front-end damage at the intersection of Route 46 and New Road.

The Parsippany Police Department and the Parsippany Volunteer Rescue Squad were all at the scene. At least one car needed to be towed, but it was not immediately known if there were any injuries as a result of the accident.

Parsippany Police said the accident report had not yet been completed and could not provide any details into the crash.

Sorry, but need to submit a correction. The responding Ambulance was not Parsippany Volunteer, but Rockaway Neck from the Lake Hiawatha side. There are two ambulances in town.. Secondly, as horrible as this accident looks, I'm willing to bet that this is another case of red-light-running, which has been escalating in this and surrounding towns at a very fast rate.. i bet if there was a camera installed, everyone would know exactly what happened.
