Police Investigating Two Home Burglaries

Law enforcement officials ask for the public's help in providing information about the crimes.

The seeks the community's help as it investigates two residential burglaries.

On Friday evening, police said officers were called to a home on Tara Drive to check out a reported burglary. The homeowner told police that after returning home after leaving for a couple of hours, he found that his front door had been shouldered open and that the master bedroom had been ransacked.

Police said that at present it is not known what was stolen from the house.

Similarly, at about 12:30 Sunday morning, Parsippany Police and representatives of the Morris County Sheriff's Office responded to a South Beverwyck Road address to investigate a report of a burglary believed to have occurred in the preceding hours. The residents of the home said they returned just after midnight to find that the front door to the residence had been forced open.

The residence's master bedroom had been ransacked and about $2,000 in
cash and jewelry was missing from the home, according to police.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
