Police Make Four Substance Abuse Arrests in Three Days

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Parsippany Police say a motor vehicle crash on Forest Drive led to the discovery of another alleged DWI. Upon arriving at the accident site, Officer James Schicke encountered Michael S. Guadara, 21, of Mountain Lakes. Guadara was arrested and later released after receiving summonses for DWI and careless driving, according to police department spokesperson Sgt. Yvonne Christiano . 

In another case, after responding to a two-car accident at Route 46 and New Road on May 20, Officer George Tsimpedes arrested 18-year-old Yekatern I. Tkacheva. Police report that the Parsippany resident was believed to have smoked marijuana. She was charged with DWI and careless driving and released pending a court date.

On May 21, Officer Tsimpedes observed a Volkswagen Jetta swerving  between lanes in traffic on westbound Route 46. After stopping the car, its driver, Souvanhny Inthavong, 27, was arrested and released. The Parsippany resident faces charges of careless driving and DWI.

On the same day, Officer Jason Ferreira was dispatched to 1100 Parsippany Blvd. Bldg. 6 after hearing a report of a suspicious vehicle. He saw the car leaving the building's parking lot and conducted a traffic stop. The front seat passenger, 31-year-old Kaushal Shah of Parsippany, was found in possession of a cigar and a small bag, both suspected to contain marijuana. After being transported to police headquarters, Shah was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. He was released pending a court date.
