Cops Probe Graffiti at Park, Broken Window at School

Police ask anyone with information on incidents at Volunteers Park and Northvail School to contact authorities.

Parsippany Police are investigating two incidents of criminal mischief after graffiti was discovered last week at Volunteers Park and a window was found broken Monday at a township elementary school.

A township Parks and Forestry Department employee discovered graffiti on the half-pipe skateboard ramp at Volunteers Park Friday morning, according to .

A second criminal mischief case, this time at , is also the subject of a probe, police said.

Just after 7 a.m. Monday, Officer Jermaine Pledger went to the school to interview a custodian, who said he discovered a door window on the north side of the building was broken, police said.

The custodian said the incident occurred between 3 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday.

An investigation into the incident continues, police said.

No other details were made available in either case.
