Police Probe Leads to Prescription Pill Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Parsippany Police Department reports an investigation launched last year has netted its first arrest. Parsippany resident Rakesh R. Shah, 31, is charged with allegedly selling pain pills from a car, authorities said.

Police said the department's investigative division began looking into the sale of illegal prescription pain medications in the Lake Hiawatha area in late December.

According to police, Shah faces two counts of selling more than five, but fewer than 100 pills containing oxycodone from a vehicle.
