Police Report Early Morning Pot Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Parsippany Police say a Lake Hiawatha man faces marijuana possession charges after being arrested early Tuesday morning.

Police said that at about 3 a.m., Officers Ronald Carrozzino and Michael Sprung saw a vehicle driving along North Beverwyck Road without its lights on. The officers brought the vehicle to a stop.

Police said Parsippany resident Faraz Haghighatjou, 27, was traveling in the car. According to police, Haghighatjou had under 50 grams of marijuana in his possession.

After being arrested and charged, the suspect was released pending a court appearance, police said.
