Two Arrested For Allegedly Soliciting Prostitution

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A recent Parsippany Police Department investigation cracked an alleged prostitution operation in the township. Ptlm. Earl Kinsey reported that after receiving numerous complaints regarding sex for sale in Parsippany hotels, PPD's Special Enforcement Unit conducted a probe July 5 at the Red Roof Inn on Route 46 West. Two New York residents, Brittany Lovins and Shannon Owens, both 25, were arrested and charged with soliciting prostitution to an undercover police officer. Both women were released pending a court appearance.

A 25-year-old Hackensack woman faces charges in relation to a July 14 residential burglary. Police said officers responded to a home on Ivy Lane after a resident of the house came home and found the place ransacked. While Parsippany police investigated the crime scene, a Randolph Township officer received a citizen tip regarding a suspicious vehicle and stopped a car driven by Joslin Harrington. Inside the vehicle were items from the Ivy Lane incident. Harrington was charged by the Parsippany Police Department Investigative Division with burglary, theft and conspiracy to commit burglary. After paying $5,000 bail, Harrington was released pending a court appearance. Ptlm. Kinsey said the investigation continues and more arrests are expected.
