The Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department is investigating an alleged residential burglary that reportedly took place on Alan Drive Sunday night. According to Ptlm. On Wednesday, Parsippany Police responded to the Days Inn on Route 46 after receiving a report about a burglary to a vehicle. The victim told Officer Marcin Czajka that he had parked his car in the hotel lot at 3:30 p.m. When he returned a few minutes later, the rear window of the vehicle was smashed and $10 in cash was missing, police said. An investigation led to the arrest of Matthew Fedroff, 31, of Budd Lake, who was staying at the Days Inn. Police say Fedroff allegedly used a hammer to break the window of the victim’s vehicle to remove the money. The suspect ultimately was released pending a court appearance.
