Police Seek Info in Gas Station Robbery

Alleged suspect reportedly gets away with $170.

Parsippany police say they are investigating an armed robbery that took place at the BP service station at 859 Route 46 East at approximately 2:25 a.m. today.

Ptlm. Earl Kinsey said officers answered a call about a robbery at the BP. Once there, a station attendant informed police that a white male described as standing between 6 feet and 6 feet, 6 inches tall approached him asking for change for a $20 bill. The worker reportedly pulled out a cash roll containing $170.00, which the suspect allegedly grabbed from his hand. The suspect then ran into the direction of the nearby Red Roof Inn on foot.

The alleged perpetrator is described as having an athletic build. Police say he was wearing a black shirt and black shorts.
