Police Seek Two in Friday Gas Station Robbery

The suspects got away with one pack of cigarettes, say police.

Parsippany Police are looking for two men in connection with a Friday night strong-arm robbery at the Greenhill Shell Station at 204 Parsippany Rd.

According to police, the station's manager and attendant were closing up for the evening when a white man approached and asked to buy cigarettes. The man's companion, a Hispanic man, stood in the doorway. The white man suddenly punched the attendant in the face with a closed fist and demanded money. The Hispanic man then charged  the victim and pushed him, allowing the suspects time to flee.

Ptlm. Earl Kinsey said the white man got into a blue sedan believed to be a Nissan Altima which was being driven by an unknown woman. The car then drove behind the Greenhill Shopping Center in the direction that the Hispanic man fled on foot.

Police said the white man was described as wearing blue jeans, a grey T-shirt and a grey hat. The Hispanic man was described as having a thin, neatly trimmed beard. He was wearing black jeans, a black long-sleeved shirt with grey pinstripes.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with information regarding the crime is encouraged to call Parsippany Police at 973-263-4300.
