Police: Weather Conditions Contribute to Numerous Collisions
Motorists urged to take extra precautions while driving on rain-slick roads.
The Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department responded to 16 vehicle collisions in 13 hours on Tuesday, many triggered by rain conditions.
With more rain expected today, the department reminds motorists to:
- keep wipers and headlights on.
- be prepared for the possibility of slipping on oil-slicked roads,
- allow for sufficient stopping space, and
- do not follow the vehicle in front too closely.
