"I'm excited," said Clark, adding that although one of his daughters was not able to be at the ceremony, she had a special part in the process. "I was notified about it as I was helping my daughter move to college. She's a freshman. We were moving things in and the phone rang and my wife says, 'the mayor's on the phone.' That's how I was notified and I got to see my daughter off. It was good news all around."

"Obviously it's a very happy occasion. I'm feeling a lot of pride for myself and my colleagues," said Christiano. "We've all worked very hard and Parsippany has a great police department and we have great leadership."

"This is like a dream come true for me. I grew up in town, so I'm really happy," said Dowd. "I'm very happy to have my family here with me and I have great friends here with me too."

"I'm very excited and am looking forward to working with Chief Philipps and Mayor Barberio and get the department going in the right direction, which we have been doing in great strides and hiring more people to make the town a lot safer," said Pantina. "I look forward to giving the public the respect and the courtesy that they deserve."
