Pugilism for Police: 'SlugFest' Features Local Boxers in Parsippany Fundraiser

Dover Boxing Club's finest to hit the ring and raise funds.

What do you get when you mix high-level amateur boxing and local police?

A fundraiser for a great cause, of course.

On May 24, the annual Summer SlugFest will take over the Parsippany Police Athletic League boxing ring on Baldwin Road, featuring Golden Gloves boxers and up-and-comers from the area.

The fundraiser is designed to benefit the Dover Boxing Club and Parsippany Police Athletic League, and will feature boxers from Randolph, Hopatcong, Sparta, Parsippany, Mt. Olive and Denville, to name a few.

The night's main event will be a super heavyweight bout between Danielle Perkins and Shadasia Green for the Summer Slugfest Championship Belt.

For further information, time, or ticket prices, call Tony Bonavitacola, Director Police Athletic League of Parsippany-Troy Hills at 973-335-0555 or 973 908 0878 or Ed Leahy of the Dover Boxing Club at 973 945 1513.
