Random Stop Leads to Outstanding Warrant Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

An Orange resident was arrested in Parsippany Thursday on an outstanding $500 warrant, according to police. Sgt. Yvonne Christiano reported that while on patrol near Route 46 and North Beverwyck Road, Officer Matthew McAuliffe conducted a random check on the license plate of a 2007 Mercedes Benz and found that the car had an expired registration. In addition, the car's owner reportedly had a suspended driver’s license. The car's passenger, Orange resident Kenney Johnson, 36,  was discovered to have an active warrant out of Orange. Police said Johnson was arrested on the warrant and ultimately was released on the authority of the Orange Police Department pending a court date.
