Report: No Bail Lowering For Ex-Firefighter Facing Multiple Charges

Jason Campbell faces drug and arson charges in separate arrests.

The former Parsippany firefighter and suspended Morris County Sheriff's officer who was on bail on arson charges when he was arrested on drug charges last week has been refused a lower bail on his most recent arrest.

According to a report by NJ.com, Superior Court Judge N. Peter Conforti would not consider lowering Jason Campbell's $200,000 bail, saying it must be formally filed on Campbell's behalf because the arrest happened while he was already on bail.

Campbell, 33, , was charged Friday night with third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance, third-degree conspiracy to possess a controlled dangerous substance, second-degree official misconduct and fourth-degree impersonating a police officer.
