Smith Road Bridge Repair to Close Road, Create Detour for 2 Months

Project will begin Monday, July 7 and could last up to 60 days.

Another summer day, another road closing.

This time the closure will be on Smith Road, where a bridge will be repaired, shutting down the area for about 60 days, according to Parsippany Police.

The bridge is near St. Ann’s Church on Smith Road, carrying travelers over Eastmans Brook.

The closure is scheduled to begin after the holiday weekend on Monday, July 7. Detours will be established and police are reminding residents to find alternate routes.

Motorists around Parsippany have already had to get used to one major change in travel, as the onramp to Rt. 80 eastbound from Rt. 202 was shut down earlier this year for a weeks-long reconstruction project.
