Police are looking for the driver of a hit-and-run SUV that struck another vehicle, causing it to flip over Wednesday night.
Officer Robert Smolen saw a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta at the southwest corner of the intersection of
North Beverwyck Road and Ball Avenue flipped when he arrived at about 6:45 p.m.
The driver said he was going south on North Beverwyck Road when a dark-colored SUV made a left turn onto North Beverwyck Road from Crown Point Road. The SUV hit the driver’s side door of the Jetta, which flipped over and hit a fence before coming to rest on its roof, police said.Dri
Police said the dark-colored SUV left without stopping and the driver of the Jetta had minor injuries, but was not transported to the hospital.
