Three DWI Arrests on New Year's Eve

Police make several arrests Friday night into early Saturday.

Parsippany police arrested three drivers for DWI on New Year's Eve, including a woman who allegedly plowed into a snow bank and a man who hit a tree.

  • Praveen Vausudev, 32, of East Hanover, was arrested after his car hit a tree on South Edwards Road Saturday at 2:44 a.m., police said. He was transported to a hospital by the Parsippany Ambulance Squad to treat an injury and later brought to police headquarters, where he was charged with DWI, reckless driving and failure to keep right. Officer Marc Fernandez was the responding officer.
  • At 2:41 a.m., Soraya Agideh, 48, of Perth Amboy, was arrested for DWI after her 2009 Toyota hit a snow bank and became mired in the snow on Route 10 at Continental Road, police said. In addition to the DWI, she was charged with reckless driving. The responding officer was Sgt. Thomas Pomroy.
  • Albert Briscoe, 55, of Parsippany, was arrested New Year's Eve at 9:37 p.m. after Officer Ross Cooper observed his 2003 Ford failing to stay in one lane near Vail Road. He was charged with failure to maintain lane of travel, careless driving and driving while intoxicated.
