Bank Robbery May Be Related to Parsippany Incident, Prosecutor Says

Morris County Prosecutor's Office says there may be a link from Thursday's in Lincoln Park.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and two Morris County law enforcement agencies are investigating a bank robbery that took place at the Boiling Springs Bank in Lincoln Park on Thursday, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

The incident may be related to other recent bank robberies in the county, , according to the prosecutor's office.

The bank allegedly robbed on Thursday is located at 60 Beaver Brook Road in Lincoln Park. The prosecutor's office said the robbery happened around 2:09 p.m.

The man is described by the Morris County Prosecutor's Office as a white male in his 20s or 30s between 6-foot and 6-foot-2 tall. He was also described as wearing a straw cowboy hat, olive green blazer, white dress shirt, dark-colored pants and black Nike shoes. Authorities also said he was wearing eyeglasses and may be operating a black two-door vehicle.

According to messages sent by Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi's office on Twitter, the joint investigation is being handled by the prosecutor's office's Major Crimes Unit, Morris County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Section, the Lincoln Park Police Department, and the FBI.

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office said Thursday's robbery may be connected to other bank robberies this month, including , Capital One Bank, on Comly Road, on Aug. 10. In that incident, the prosecutor's office said a white male in his early 30s was wearing a straw cowboy hat and a green blazer when he allegedly robbed the bank. Authorities said he did not show a weapon during the robbery.

The prosecutor's office also said a well-dressed alleged bank robber was also being sought for his involvement in and , both in July. These robberies may all be related, according to the prosecutor's office.

Same guy. Each time it looks like he's wearing his father's clothes, so he either lives with his parents or he's buying clothes at the Salvation Army or Goodwill. He's not white collar and never has been. He can't make a decent knot in a tie. I strongly suspect he's addicted to prescription drugs and does a robbery when he's low on cash for dope.
