Trespasser Had Outstanding Warrant, Police Say

Parsippany man not permitted on senior center's property found inside one of the apartments.

A township man found trespassing at a senior center Tuesday night had a warrant out for his arrest, Parsippany Police said.

Joseph Stanel, 24, was taken into the custody of the Morris County Sheriff's Department after he was seen inside one of the Brookside Senior Center apartments on Parsippany Boulevard at about 10:30 p.m., Patrolman Earl Kinsey, a spokesman for the police department, said.

Property managers told police that Stanel was not permitted on the site, Kinsey said.

Stanel was found to have a no-bail arrest warrant issued for him by the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, Kinsey said.
