Firefighters Extricate Driver in I-80 Crash

Minor injuries reported in highway accident that slowed rush-hour traffic.

The driver of a Jeep Wranger that was involved in an accident with a tractor trailer on eastbound Interstate 80 Friday morning suffered minor injuries and was extricated from the wreck by Parsippany firefighters, state police said.

New Jersey State Police received a call at 7:28 a.m. about an accident at milepost 42.8 involving a tractor trailer and the Jeep, Trooper Christopher Kay said.

The driver said they suffered minor injuries needed to be extricated. Parsippany firefighters responded and removed the individual from the vehicle, Kay said.
