Two Essex County residents stole a computer from a Tabor Road business last week, Parsippany Police said.
Shakira L. Williams, 36, of Newark, was arrested and charged with theft of moveable property, burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. A warrant has been issued for Sawab I. Wright, 42, of East Orange, for the same charges.
According to Parsippany Police, officers responded on Oct. 8 to a reported burglary at Sizzle Tans on Tabor Road.
When Officer Thomas Armenti and Detective Anthony Morelli arrived at about 5:45 p.m., they were told a $1,200 Hewlett Packard Pavillian laptop computer and its connecting cords were stolen, police said.
A detective from the Morris County Sherriff’s Department’s Criminal Investigative Division then arrived and an initial investigation determined there was a man and woman responsible for the burglary, according to a release from Officer Remo D’Alessandro, a community relations officer.
The woman was identified as Williams, who was arrested in Newark, charged and processed in Parsippany and sent to the Morris County Correctional Facility.
A warrant was also issued for Wright, police said.
