Two Arrested in Parsippany on Outstanding Warrants

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Parsippany Police say two men are under arrest in two separate cases involving outstanding warrants.

Luv T. Reaves, 21, of Parsippany, was taken into custody at the Morris County Correctional Facility Sunday after police discovered he had an active $750 warrant on contempt of court involving a traffic case out of the local department0.

Department spokesperson Sgt. Yvonne Christiano said that Officers Jason Ferreira and Michael Sprung were conducting a property check of the Meadowbrook Gardens complex with they saw a person leaving the woods behind Building 3. A brief investigation led the police officers to the discovery of Reaves' identity and the active warrant.

The suspect was arrested and later remanded to the Morris County Correctional Facility in default of bail, police said.

In a separate incident, police nabbed Dover resident Horace Mantock, 26, on outstanding contempt of court and traffic violation warrants. On Monday, Officer Robert Appel reportedly saw a gray Volkswagen with a nonfunctioning headlight. After stopping the driver, the officer learned that Mantock had a suspended driver’s license and an active $489 warrant out of Randolph. After his arrest and processing, police say Mantock was released on his own recognizance.
