Vehicles Burglarized in Cinema Parking Lot

Six vehicles were reported burglarized in the parking area of Clearview’s Parsippany Cinema 12 on Route 46 Tuesday night.

Parsippany police officers initially responded to the parking area at 8:5 p.m. to investigate a report of a burglary to an automobile. While there, they were alerted to five other vehicles in the lot that also had been burglarized.

In each instance, police report the passenger side window was shattered and valuables that had been visible from outside the vehicle were taken.

The stolen items included a wallet, a purse, 2 GPS units with power cords, I-Pod ear buds, newly purchased items from local stores, MP3 players and cash.

The total value of the stolen items is not known at this time.

The thefts occurred between 7:30 p.m. and 8:50 p.m.
