Water Access Shut Off to Rainbow Lakes Residents Friday

Water main repairs will force a portion of township residents to be without water for up to 8 hours, police report.

Residents in a portion of the Rainbow Lakes Section of Parsippany will be without water for as long as eight hours Friday beginning at 8 a.m., according to Parsippany Police.

A broken water main has been located in the Rainbow Lakes Section, Officer Earl Kinney said in an email alert to township residents, and residents in that area will be without water during repairs.

“You may experience some discoloration in your water when it is turned back on,” the message reads. “If this occurs, allow your cold water to run until it clears up.”
