Windows Shattered, Designer Bags and Cash Stolen From Cars, Cops Say

Alleged burglaries occurred Monday night in L.A. Fitness Center's parking lot, police report.

Two women parked in the L.A. Fitness Gym on Rt. 46 both had their cars broken into and items stolen Monday night, Parsippany police said.

Officer Thomas Armenti responded to the business at 8:29 p.m. for a report of a burglarized vehicle and upon his arrival spoke with the victim, who said that when she left the fitness center she found her car was forcibly entered by shattering the passenger side window, police said.

The woman told Armenti a pink Marc Jacobs bag was stolen, which contained documents and $10, police said.

While continuing the investigation, another woman approached Armenti in the parking lot at 9:15 p.m. and said her car was burglarized and the rear driver side window was shattered, police said. The woman said her orange Coach bag was stolen, which contained documents and anywhere between $500 and $600 cash, police said.
