The police found her car crashed with the airbags deployed, but the driver had fled the scene.

A Dover woman was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when she drove the wrong way on Interstate 287, crashed her vehicle in Parsippany and fled the scene before being apprehended early Sunday morning, State Police said.

Natasha Salazar, 19, was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, failure to report an accident, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, obstructing the passage of other motor vehicles, willful abandonment and other lesser motor vehicle offenses, according to State Trooper Christopher Kay, of the Netcong barracks.

According to Kay, troopers received a call after midnight that a car was traveling north on the southbound lanes of Interstate 287.
