Wayne Teenager Killed in Route 80 Crash

The Saturn Erin Quinn was driving crashed into a tree down an embankment, state police say.

An 18-year-old Wayne woman was killed when the car she was driving crashed on Route 80 in Parsippany, state police said.

Erin Quinn was traveling west on Route 80 at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning when the 2001 Saturn she was driving veered off to the right side of the road near mile marker 47 in Parsippany, State Police spokesperson Sgt. Adam Grossman said.

Quinn failed to maintain the position of her vehicle, left the roadway and crashed into a tree down an embankment, Grossman said; Quinn was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is still being investigated, said Grossman, who declined to give further information. 

The accident shut down two lanes on Route 80, NJ.com reported.
