Bramnick New Assembly Minority Leader

District 21 Assemblyman from Westfield will take over for the late Alex DeCroce.

District 21 Assemblyman Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield) will take over for the  (R-Parsippany) as minority leader.

The Republican caucus unanimously elected Bramnick, who was the party's conference leader since 2009. Assemblyman Dave Rible (R-Monmouth) will fill that spot, the party also announced.

Bramnick was the Republican whip from 2007 to 2009 before he was conference leader. He was first elected to the General Assembly in 2003.

Rible is beginning his third term in the Assembly and over the last two years has served as the caucus’ whip. Prior to that, he was deputy conference leader in 2009 and assistant Republican whip from 2008 to 2009.
