Portion of Buffalo Wild Wings' Proposal Moves Forward

Restaurant will come back to the board to discuss parking on the adjacent lot.

Three resolutions were approved unanimously at the Planning Board's Minor Site Plan and Subdivision Committee meeting on Monday night: Colonial Heights, Sunrise ShopRite of Parsippany and the Parsippany Buffalo Wild Wings

At a previous minor site plan and subdivision meeting, BWW's progress was tabled so that the applicant could update its design to reflect the underground basin with parking on top, as suggested by Gordon Meth, board Engineer.

However, "they withdrew the portion of the plans that was for the additional parking and drainage," said Township Clerk Peg Mader.

All that was approved was the signage on the building, front sidewalk and handicap access.

"They plan to come back again about the parking on the adjacent lot," said Mader.

The infiltration basin was originally going to sit "along the eastern side of the property line," said James Henry, Principal at Dynamic Engineering Consultants, but due to the added parking spaces to the site plan, the basin sits very close to the property line causing concern for adequate buffer between the site and the residential streets that border it, Sandra Drive and Sandra Court. The number of parking spots will increase by about 60 spots.

Henry said that it was going to be costly to move the basin underground but after a short break during the Sept. 24 meeting, Henry talked with the applicant, who agreed to the change. This is the change that has now been withdrawn by the applicant.
