Congressman Frelinghuysen to Speak at Chamber’s Annual Dinner

January 30 event will honor the efforts of local Chamber members.

Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen, representing the state’s 11th District, will be the guest speaker at the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Awards Dinner Monday, Jan. 30.

In addition to honoring the Chamber’s 2011 achievements, the dinner at the Sheraton Parsippany Hotel at 199 Smith Road will feature President Robert J. Peluso’s overview of the Chamber’s 2012 initiatives

Congressman Frelinghuysen will discuss current events and a variety of topics relevant to the Greater Parsippany Area.

The Board of Directors of the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce will be presenting awards for the year’s most prestigious honors, including Business Leader of the Year, Most Impressive Start-Up, and the Community Spirit Award.  These awards honor exemplary efforts by Chamber members that demonstrate creativity, vision, leadership, and citizenship that positively impact the welfare of the Parsippany Area.  Chamber members can vote by submitting candidates and business names for each award by visiting www. Parsippanychamber.org until Saturday, Jan. 21.

Last year’s award winners included Maggie Peters of the Morris County Economic Development Corporation, Meadow Wood Manor, Apple Spice Junction, Sheraton Parsippany, Parsippany Life, Provident Bank, Chelsea at Montville, and Rivers Insurance.

This year’s event, which includes a three-course meal, is open to Chamber members, non-members, residents, and volunteers. All proceeds from the event directly benefit Chamber-directed community and economic development activities in the Greater Parsippany Area. Tickets can be purchased on the Chamber’s website.
