Council to Discuss, Vote on Health Insurance Again

Although the issue was discussed and voted down at Tuesday's meeting, another meeting is being held to re-discuss and vote on the issue again on Monday.

Parsippany-Troy Hills Council scheduled a meeting on Monday at 7 p.m. "to discuss and take action on the following: Resolution awarding contract for health benefit insurance services to Insurance Design Administrators and Resolution awarding contract for employee dental insurance services to Delta Dental of New Jersey, Inc.," according to Yancy Wazirmas, RMC Township Clerk.

The clerk's office said that "It was discussed (at Tuesday's council meeting) but did not pass, so they're having another meeting to discuss it further" and vote on the issue again.

Although "the health insurance issue was defeated last night 3-2," Mayor Jamie Barberio is "calling for another meeting on Monday to vote" on the issue," said Councilmember Jonathan Nelson.

At Tuesday's council meeting, they discussed the contracts, but it was tabled when a motion to introduce one of the resolutions was not seconded, according to the Daily Record.
