Council To Finish Reorganizing, May Reconsider Knoll Club Fee Hikes

Agenda reveals a number of resolutions and ordinances—and the webmaster contract—are up for final approval.

Final votes on professional appointments—including a contract renewal for the town's $22,000 per year website contractor—are on the tentative preview agenda for Tuesday's Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Counci meeting. The gathering at , to be led by , will be the body's first regular session of the new year.

One matter expected to be raised is the reintroduction of a previously defeated plan to  utility. The proposed ordinance, voted down Nov. 29, would amend the Parks, Recreation Areas and Public Lands section of the township code to raise golfing fees for Knoll members and guests in an effort to cover a club budget shortfall of $300,000. Stanton and members Paul Carifi Jr. and John Cesaro voted against the measure, telling Patch that they had questions regarding the deficit that needed to be answered. Knoll Golf Supervisor Pat DeFalco is expected to be on hand to address those questions in the hope of winning a reconsideration. Should the council fail to pass the fee increases, taxpayers will have to make up the Knoll debt.

Also on tap is completing the council's reorganization. That means the body will vote Tuesday night on new contracts or contract extensions for municipal professional appointments, including those of Township Attorney John Inglesino; ; and various providers of engineering, real estate appraisal and  historic preservation architecture services.
