Parsippany Officials to Examine Troy Meadows Rezoning at June Meeting

Lots could be changed from residential to wildlife designation.

An ordinance in front of the township’s mayor and council to rezone portions of Troy Meadows for the use of wildlife preservation didn’t make it very far this week, as the governing body neglected to make a motion on the measure.

According to dailyrecord.com, several lots in Troy Meadows are being looked at to be rezoned from residential use to recreation, conservation and wildlife (RCW) to expand on a privately-owned freshwater marsh encompassing 3,100 acres, 1,740 of which sit in Parsippany.

While councilman Louis Valori introduced the ordinance, it was not motioned by any other official, the report said. It has, however, been introduced for fresh discussion and potential vote at the council’s meeting on June 2.
