Hurricane Sandy: Safe Places for Pets During the Storm

Parsippany-Troy Hills Animal Control is ready to shelter any displaced animals should the need arise, said Parsippany Police Chief Anthony DeZenzo.

The town's animal shelter is at 1069 Parsippany Blvd. If you need assistance from an animal control officer, call 973-263-7083.

The Morris County Animal Response Team also offers safe space for pets at Morris Knolls High School at 50 Knoll Drive in Denville. At this site, pet owners must stay with their pets; it is not a drop off and go site. If you plan on taking your animal to Morris Knolls, bring along a crate for your pet (only a limited number are available) and three days' worth of food, water and bedding for you and your animal.
