Morris Business Owner Fights NJ Gun Law to Carry Weapon for Work

Owner of ATM machines says he needs to carry gun for security purposes while dealing with money.

John Drake's line of work is to deal with piles of cash on a daily basis.

Because of that, he wants to feel protected by carrying a gun with him.

But because that's illegal in New Jersey, Drake can't carry a gun with him during work as a small business owner who operates Automated Teller Machines (ATM) out of Whippany.

According to My9's Chasing New Jersey, he's taking his fight to the U.S. Supreme Court. Drake's lawyer is currently in Washington D.C. going through the legal process, and the case came before the judge last Friday. In that session, the report said, no action was taken, and it has been re-listed for conference this Friday.
