Morris Freeholders to Hold April Meeting in Parsippany

The Morris County Freeholders are taking their show on the road again, and will be conducting regular meetings at various town halls throughout the county.

First up is Parsippany on Wednesday, April 23 at 7 p.m. The practice began in 2007 and a meeting has been in held in each of the county’s 39 municipalities. This year marks the start of the second round of visiting each town.

“Taking some of our meetings to the various towns across the county for the last few years has given us the opportunity to meet one-on-one and to exchange ideas with local officials, and we look forward to doing the same over the next few months,” said Freeholder Director Tom Mastrangelo in a statement.

After Parsippany, the county’s governing body plans to meet in seven other towns, in 2014, including: Chester Township in May; Pequannock in June; Long Hill in July; and Denville in August.

The Freeholder work sessions will precede the public meetings at 4:30 p.m. in each of those communities as well. The public is encouraged to attend the meetings, but there is no public portion during the work sessions.
