Parsippany Schools Get Boost in State Aid

Figures released Thursday show the district is tapped to receive about $900K more than in 2011-12.

The  will receive a 25.1 percent increase in state aid in 2012-13.

The New Jersey Department of Education released state aid numbers Thursday afternoon, which show Par-Troy schools receiving $4,479,502, an increase of $899,013 over the amount of aid township schools received last year.

All Morris County school districts will benefit from state-aid windfalls. The highest increase, 29.7 percent, will go to the School District of the Chathams, for a school aid package of $429,210. Meanwhile, the Dover School District is getting only a 5.2 percent increase, but that uptick equals $1,187,045, bringing its total state aid to $22,675,054, more than any other municipality in the county.
