Parsippany Council, Mayoral Candidates to Face Off in Tuesday Primary
Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. for Tuesday's 2013 Primary Election.
Tuesday's primary election will decide which candidates for Parsippany Township Council and the mayor's seat are heading into the November 2013 elections.
There are two available seats on the council, with five Republicans and two Democrats running in the primary. Republican Mayoral candidate Paul Carifi Jr. is also hoping to unseat incumbent Mayor James Barberio.
The lone Democrat mayoral candidate, Jonathan Nelson, is running unopposed in the primary.

Polls will open on Tuesday at 6 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m., according to Parsippany Municipal Clerk Yancy Wazirmas. See polling places attached to article.

The eight candidates present had a chance to introduce themselves and express their views to a crowded room of voters during a media-moderated candidates forum Tuesday at Lake Parsippany Rescue and Recovery sponsored by Parsippany Patch, Parsippany Life, The Daily Record and NJ.com.
